Archeology

The archeological collection includes a small paleo-ethnology collection in the Bartalini room and some funerary urns in the basement. The former collection consists of stone implements and metal utensils dating from the middle Paleolithic to the Etruscan and Roman periods. The urns come from Asciano and the Orcia Valley and are displayed in an underground chamber representing an Etruscan tomb.

ADOPT OUR SPECIMENS

The Museum specimens require constant maintenance to prevent damage by air, light and microorganisms. You can contribute to their conservation by “adopting” them.
